Anders Ludvig Sevelsted (b. 1982) holds a Ph.D. from the Copenhagen Business School. Anders is currently employed as an assistant professor at Copenhagen Business School, Department of Business and Politics. His research interests are mainly within historical sociology/history of ideas and cover welfare state history, history of social movements and voluntarism, religion and collective action. Most recently, he has begun studying the ‘moral elites’ that shaped the normative fabric of the modern welfare state, and the development of the historical philanthropic elite of Danish society. Central theoretical inspirations are the American pragmatists as well as Hans Joas’ historical sociology. Anders recently received the Carlsberg Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowships in Denmark stipend.
