Cristine Dyhrberg Højgaard  is a PhD Fellow in the Department Management, Politics and Philosophy at Copenhagen Business School. She holds a MA in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen. She has practical experience on working with different issues pertaining to civil society and inclusion of socially disadvantaged youth through employment in various municipalities and the social housing organization 3B.
Her present research project (Dec 2018 – Dec 2021) focuses on studying constraints and potentials of self-organized networks for democratic formation of youth perceived both as civic engagement in democratic processes and as democratic sentiment. The project examines how practices between network participants in physical meeting as well as on social media influence democratic formation including the exclusion and/or inclusion dynamics regarding socially disadvantaged youth.
