Associate Professor, PhD
Liv Egholm (Master and Ph.D in history, semiotic and anthropology) is an associate professor at Department for Business and Politics, at Copenhagen Business School. Her work draws on pragmatism, cultural history and conceptual analysis. She has been working Her research is characterized by an interdisciplinary approach drawing both on the social sciences and the humanities. Her new research project have the aim to comprehensive map how philanthropic gift-giving influencing (and being influenced by) the continual conceptualization and practices of philanthropy and welfare from the middle of the 19th century until the present day contributing to a fuller and more elaborated understanding of the role played by gift-giving and philanthropic at the crossroads of state, market and civil society.
